The greatest value I got from it was that he defines what Christian Science is NOT as well as what it is; he is very clear about that. It is a great help in understanding the spiritual and intellectual ferment of the period beginning in the 1830’s, and the evolution of the Transcendental New Thought movement. It provides a wealth of information on the differences between Christian Science and the other Positive Thinking based movements.
